Sho Kosugi will be doing a rare in-person appearance in Pasadena, CA at the Republic of Lucha / Republic of Ninja boutique, Saturday August 19th. A $50 advanced ticket will get you a photo op and autograph, and later that evening they’re screening Pray for Death. Museum-like displays of screen-used costuming and weapons, posters from Kosugi’s own collection and some of his antique Japanese dolls have already been set-up, so there’s a lot to go see. Plenty of exclusive merchandise will be on-hand as well…
“That Ninja Show” is a new YouTube channel casually shooting the breeze on all the stuff we love — adoration of Revenge of the Ninja, collecting more swords you don’t need or can’t afford, vintage movie posters and trashy old Asian World of Martial Arts merchandise. Ninja – the Unveiled Danger is a new web comic by ‘Vlad’ that’s rolling out page-by-page right now. Akin to other recent releases like the graphic adaptation of New York Ninja and the spiritual fourth Cannon Kosugi movie we never got Ninja IV: Dark Vengeance, this wears it’s early 80s craze heart on its sleeve for sure, and I’m digging it!
