Two new projects I want to highlight immediately before you people go and spend your money on Disneyland or Six Flags or other sorts of respectable family activities instead of on gratuitous ninja stuff like you should be…
Pasadena, California’s Mexican masked wrestler boutique Republic of Lucha has branched off into a partnership wing with none other than Sho Kosugi himself for Sho Kosugi’s Republic of Ninja.
The internationally famed “Lucha Bros.” tag team of Rey Fenix and Penta 0-M (seen in AEW) is behind the boutique, pictured here with Kosugi. If you read our feature on South of the Border Shinobi, Penta will be familiar…
Initial offerings are a wide array of t-shirts with the same designs available on denim jackets and tote bags. So far, so good…
Buy Republic of Ninja good here and follow them on Instagram as well.
Meanwhile, this Kickstarter of 80s GI Joe-styled 3-3/4″ ninja figures is well worth backing!
Legends of the Hidden Force is a labor of love from Whiskeyjack Toys, taking the old mid-80s Storm Shadow, Jinx and latter Ninja Force figures we all loved to another level of pose-ability and accessories.
I love the posing stand and flight effects stand prototyped above. The figures will come on old-school card-backs with bubbles right out of Toys R Us and Kaybee, too.
Check out the demo video below for more…
These guys hearts and heads are totally in the right place with this line. As of this writing they are about 70% funded with a week and half or so to go, so let’s all help them get there!
In the coming weeks, I’ll have another wallet-draining announcement, this time with my direct involvement, and for you fans of the old Ninja Magazine, it’s going to be a doozy. Stay tuned…
